Letty Fajardo Vera is a specialist in human development, gender mainstreaming, environmental rights, community engagement. She is a social researcher with extensive experience in research among rural communities, often working with women and young people. She has worked as an advisor in development projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She combines personal investigations using the ‘well-being method’ with the development of practical improvement programs and coaching of community members and facilitators. Based on fieldwork, she develops tailor-made training packages and provides mentoring support to project staff. Her recent work has taken her among others to Ethiopia, Kenya, Turkmenistan, Sudan, Pakistan The Netherlands, and Ecuador. She is also is developing a training and social care farm for young people in Ecuador. She has worked for UN organizations, private firms, universities, and civil society organizations.
